TIME TRIALS
2008 NCSA Junior National Championships
March 18-22, 2008 - Orlando, FL

At the 2008 Junior National Swimming Championships, special Time Trials will be conducted for swimmers participating in the meet. On a given day, time trial events must be included in the event limit of three (3). These Time Trials are held under a separate sanction and shall conform to the listed conditions and format, subject to the time limitations.

1. A swimmer is limited to a maximum of two Time Trials during the course of the Championships.

2. A swimmer must be entered and compete in the meet with a proven time (individual OR RELAY) to participate in the Time Trials.

3. Except as noted below, Time Trials shall be swum in the order listed under the meet program as follows:
a. All days except for the final day: that day's events, followed by the events of the remaining day(s) of the meet, followed by the events of the previous days.
b. Final Day: the day's events; that day's 1000 & 1650 freestyle events may be swum, followed by events of the previous days if time permits. If time is not available on Day 5 for the 1000 & 1650 freestyle time trials, the Meet Referees, at their discretion, may offer them on an alternate day.

4. Entry fees for Time Trials are the same as those established for the Junior National Championships. A fine of $100 will be imposed on the organization obtaining deck credentials for each relay-only swimmer who does not compete in a National Championship relay. No penalty shall apply if the Referee is notified prior to the event and accepts proof that failure to compete was due to the relay-only swimmer's illness or injury, or to circumstances beyond the swimmer's control.
