While the goal is for NCSA to benefit all of the club swimming community, regular voting membership is limited to active professional coaches who have met the required accomplishments of experience and education.
Coaching Members must have at least a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university and coach a club team. The coaching of a club team must be the primary professional coaching position. They must also have a minimum of three years of experience in the coaching of swimming or the equivalent of 15 semester hours of formal university course work directly related to the profession of coaching swimming. Swim coaches may petition to have these educational accomplishments and requirements waived by submitting a list of twelve first time USA Senior National Championship qualifiers, where they were the primary developing coach and coach of record. Such achievement will be approved by the Membership Committee of the NCSA.
